Mroz-Planells is an assistant professor and dietetic internship director at Bastyr University and is also a consultant dietitian at Dietitian Consulting Services. She has written book chapters and has researched quality of life and malnutrition in chronic kidney disease. Mroz-Planells has served in leadership roles with the Chicago and Illinois Academies of Nutrition and Dietetics, Greater Seattle Dietetic Association, NW Renal RD, the National Kidney Foundation and the Illinois Council on Renal Nutrition. She graduated from Bradley University, earned a master's degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a doctorate from Rutgers University.
