Affiliate Awards

Dietetics Education Awards

Affiliates play an important role in ACEND's educator and student award programs. The first step in the award process is the selection of nominees by state. Learn more about each of these awards and the nomination and selection process.

Affiliate Award Programs

Affiliate associations may annually select and honor the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year, Recognized Dietetic Technician of the Year, Emerging Dietetic Leader and Outstanding Dietitian of the Year awards.

Affiliate associations determine the criteria and select the winner for each award. Winners are recognized in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and each awardee receives a congratulatory letter and certificate signed by the president of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Affiliates may choose to offer award winners additional recognition. Applications for each award can be accessed through each affiliate. For contact information visit the affiliate listing.
