The future of nutrition is being shaped today, and the Academy wants to help lead what's next.
In partnership with MATTER, a global healthcare startup incubator, the Academy is launching the Future of Food and Nutrition AI Challenge to identify innovative AI-enabled solutions that strengthen evidence-based nutrition guidance, support nutrition professionals and improve nutrition outcomes.
Five finalists have been selected to pitch their ideas live on Sunday, October 25, at 5 p.m. Central time in Stars at Night Ballroom 1.
The 2026 Future of Food and Nutrition AI Challenge finalists are:

Join the Academy and MATTER for "Cutting Through the Noise: Nutrition, AI and Credible Guidance", a webinar exploring nutrition misinformation, responsible uses of AI and the role of RDNs in providing individualized, evidence-based care. Attendees also will receive additional details about the Future of Food and Nutrition AI Challenge and how to participate.
