FNCE® for Students
Take your FNCE® experience to the next level by attending a variety of sessions and activities designed just for you! In addition to educational sessions, Learning Lounge talks, poster presentations and inspiring keynote sessions, here are a few key activities for students to take advantage of during FNCE®.
Student Lounge
Dates: Saturday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 14
Time: Open during registration/conference hours
Location: First floor lobby, Music City Center
Students, this is a space just for you where you can relax, recharge and participate in student-focused activities. Ongoing activities will include bracelet making, coloring and select lawn games.
There will also be scheduled student activities:
- Sunday, October 12 | 3-5 p.m. | Resume Review
- Monday, October 13 | 9-1:30 p.m. | Headshot Sessions*
- Tuesday, October 14 | 10-11 a.m. | Mentorship Meet-Up
*Advance registration is required and spots will be available for sign up on a first come, first served basis. There is no fee to participate. Stop by the lounge on Saturday and Sunday to sign up!

Student Internship/Supervised Practice Fair
Date: Sunday, October 12
Time: 4:30 – 6 p.m.
Location: TBD
Obtaining an internship or supervised practice position can be an overwhelming process. The student internship/supervised practice fair is designed to help students meet and network with Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, ISPP and Future Education Model Graduate Program program directors from all over the United States.
Programs will have faculty and/or interns available to discuss their program and admission criteria and to distribute program handouts or brochures. Students interested in attending do not need to register for this event.

Center for Career Opportunities

Share your resumé, skills and goals with potential employers and educational institutions. Interact with companies who are hiring and connect with institutions of higher learning about advanced degree programs at the Center for Career Opportunities.
Speed Networking
Date: Monday, October 13
Time: 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Location: Room 201B, Music City Center
Start your professional journey with this fast-paced, engaging networking session designed exclusively for students. Meet peers from across the country and connect with select dieticians and nutrition professionals through short, timed group conversations. This session is a fun, structured way to meet new people and learn more about the professional opportunities in the nutrition and dietetics field.
Explore the Expo
Visit exhibitor booths to explore products and services, ask questions, book an appointment with a representative, gather product information, attend culinary demos, obtain educational resources, and sign up for prizes and giveaways.
Participate in Foundation Events
Whether you're up for a virtual 5K, scoring some swag at the silent auction or visiting the puppy corral, there are many ways to support the Academy Foundation, some of which have special pricing just for students! Learn more about Foundation events and, while you're at FNCE®, stop by the Foundation Booth to learn about awards and scholarships for Academy student members.
The Foundation is the largest provider of dietetic scholarships for students at all levels of study — and when you participate in a Foundation event, you are helping empower future practitioners to create a world where all people thrive through the transformative power of food and nutrition.
Student Hosts at FNCE®
Student hosts have the opportunity to network with peers behind the scenes, engage with Academy staff, and meet leaders in the profession all while volunteering in person at the 2025 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo®. In return for two 2-hour shifts of onsite work, Student Hosts will be randomly selected to receive a reduced student member registration of $50 for FNCE® 2025.

Academy Foundation Student Stipend
The Foundation provides $170 student stipends to help current Academy student members enrolled for the Fall 2025 semester attend FNCE® 2025. Stipend recipients will be required to visit the Foundation booth at FNCE® in Nashville to pick up their stipend, which will be awarded in the form of an American Express Gift Card.
