Derocha is a registered dietitian nutritionist, certified diabetes care and education specialist, a nationally board certified health and wellness coach and a national public speaker on nutrition and wellness. She is the certified pump trainer for a medical device company in Detroit providing education to patients with diabetes, a health coach and dietitian for Marquee Health, a provider for Doctors for Dancers and runs her own private practice. Derocha has previously worked as a spokesperson and in program and product development for a large health insurance company. She has worked for Ascension, a health care system in pediatrics, and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging. She earned bachelor's degrees in dietetics and psychology from Michigan State University and a master's degree from Wayne State University.
