Dr. Nichols is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, where she leads innovative, interdisciplinary research on women's health, examining how nutrition across reproductive life stages shapes long-term cardiometabolic outcomes. With a foundation in clinical care, she previously worked as a high-risk pediatric and maternity dietitian and in community nutrition through the Colorado WIC Program. Dr. Nichols earned her PhD in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and completed advanced postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her work bridges science and practice to improve health across generations.
