10/10/2019 - The NUCC recently approved the Academy's request to add new specialist taxonomy codes and descriptions that align with all current CDR board specialist certifications to the NPI code set.
04/23/2019 - A change in coding requirements by Aetna requires more specific diagnosis codes for those submitting claims for member services using the diagnosis code Z71.3.
03/27/2019 - The Academy's online licensure map now provides registered dietitian nutritionists with additional information to facilitate their practice across state lines.
11/28/2018 - The Academy continues to work with the CMS to advance electronic quality measures as part of the multi-year Malnutrition Quality Improvement Initiative and continues working with partners to collect data to support the measures.
11/20/2018 - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is adding registered dietitian nutritionists as eligible clinicians to the Medicare QPP starting January 1, 2019.
10/25/2018 - The Academy engaged with the CMS on strategies for improving patient outcomes through enhanced care delivery by registered dietitian nutritionists.
