Recognized Nutrition and Dietetics Technician of the Year Award

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recognizes the professional contributions of nutrition and dietetics technicians and encourages their continued participation in the community and Academy activities. Award recipients are selected by their affiliated dietetic organizations. They demonstrate leadership qualities and performance in the Academy or their employment through education, clinical nutrition, foodservice management, public relations, career guidance and legislation.

Each affiliate is allowed to recognize one nutrition and dietetics technician.

The recipients will receive a congratulatory letter and certificate signed by the president of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Affiliates may determine additional recognition.

Check with the local affiliate for a copy of the requirements and application.

• Active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Active participation in the national, state, or district association.
• Is a Nutrition and Dietetic Technician, Registered. 
• Not previously selected for this award in current or any other affiliate.
• Demonstrated leadership, in the Academy, Affiliate, local, non-Academy professional associations (demonstrating leadership in nutrition, dietetics, and foodservice), community and/or employment.
• Exceptional performance in area of practice with significant contributions to the achievement of practice.
