National Preceptor Month

Initiated in 2013, National Preceptor Month is celebrated each April to raise awareness of the need for preceptors and to recognize and thank the practitioners who help shape and inspire the next generation of nutrition and dietetics professionals by teaching students in their workplace. Without preceptors, our profession would not exist.

During National Preceptor Month, interns and program directors are encouraged to thank those who are making a difference. Whether on a small or large scale, this recognition is a much needed and highly valued show of appreciation for what preceptors do on a daily basis.
