ACEND Training and Volunteer Opportunities

This section provides information for those involved with ACEND and the nutrition and dietetics education process:

Program Directors: ACEND program directors lead ACEND-accredited programs and ensure quality education for future nutrition and dietetics professionals. ACEND offers an array of trainings to support program director throughout their time in the position, from new program directors to those who are ready to take their leadership and professional communications skills to the next level. See the left side navigation panel for these Trainings and Resources.

Program Reviewers: ACEND program reviewers play a vital role in the accreditation process. These volunteers travel around the country and the world to provide peer assessments to ACEND-accredited programs. You can view a list of current program reviewers here. Program reviewers can update their personal information and view current assignments by logging into the ACEND Portal. For information about becoming an ACEND program reviewer, see the Program Reviewer link on the left side navigation panel.

Preceptors: These individuals teach and mentor students and interns participating in ACEND-accredited supervised practice and supervised experiential learning. See the left side navigation panel Preceptors and Mentors link for the Find-a-Preceptor Database, the Dietetics Preceptor Training Program for 8 CPEU and many more resources.
