RDNs and NDTRs are working hard with other school nutrition professionals to provide school meals to children in their local communities while our nation continues to deal with an unprecedented public health emergency. Five school nutrition operators from across the country discuss the innovative ways they are feeding students and families during this time while incorporating community partners, farm to school programming, nutrition education and more. The future of school meals will be impacted by COVID-19 requiring RDNs and NDTRs to understand how school nutrition meal service is transforming to take into account the updated guidance from both the USDA and CDC.
