Nutrition Care Practice Patterns for Patients with COVID-19
04/28/2021 - This study is the first to report on the nutrition diagnoses and interventions used by dietitians for patients with COVID-19.
A new landmark study examines nutrition diagnoses and interventions used by dietitians for patients with COVID-19. Inadequate oral/energy intake and malnutrition were the most common findings. Interventions included enteral nutrition and supplements, both food and multivitamin/mineral. The data from this study forms the basis for the upcoming RESTORE study, which will further investigate nutrition care practices in patients with COVID-19.
