Sherri Jones is the quality manager at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Shadyside, working in the department of quality improvement. She manages seven full-time quality improvement specialists who are responsible for value-based care measures and the quality scorecard outcomes. Previously, she was the clinical nutrition manager for 13 years. Sherri has worked in quality improvement since 2012 and earned a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality national certification in 2020. Sherri has served in capacities within the nutrition and dietetics profession at the district, state, and national levels. These include: member of the Academy’s Committee for Lifelong Learning; chair of the Nutrition Care Process Standardized Language Committee; chair of the Quality Management Committee; and chair of the Clinical Nutrition Management Dietetic Practice Group. Sherri serves on the House Leadership Team and is the Board liaison on the Academy’s Quality Management Committee. She received the Academy’s 2020 Medallion Award for service to the organization and profession, and was the Pennsylvania affiliate’s 2010 Outstanding Dietetics Educator of the Year and the Academy’s 2010 Area 6 Educator of the Year. Sherri received Pennsylvania’s 2012 Outstanding Dietitian Award and the Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2013, 2017 and 2019. Sherri is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Carlow University.
