Applying for the Center of Excellence designation was a way to formally acknowledge and celebrate the incredible work they do—not just within our walls, but in the broader community.
The experience was both affirming and enlightening. It provided an opportunity to step back and evaluate our program's impact, celebrate our team's accomplishments, and identify areas where we can continue to grow.
The experience was eye-opening in the sense that it highlighted all that the department has done in the past several years to elevate the role of the RD and improve nutrition care in our facility.
