Academy Advocates for Profession in Request to CMS

10/07/2020 - In recent comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Academy, among other recommendations, urged CMS to include RDNs as providers for the new online virtual check-in G-codes, continue payment for audio-only visits, and allow auxiliary personnel to furnish remote patient monitoring CPT codes.

The Academy joined 47 national associations representing 1.4 million physician and non-physician Medicare providers to submit comments to CMS urging the agency to preserve patient access to care by delaying proposed decreases in payments to providers who are already struggling financially due to the pandemic.
