As part of the research process, the Academy recognizes that recruiting a diverse group of highly qualified volunteers is key to success. To help achieve this goal and contribute to Academy research initiatives, consider applying to be a member on one of these subcommittees. The Academy's Council on Research values the unique contributions from diverse members and encourages applications from clinicians, students, educators, administrators and researchers at all stages of their careers that are willing to share their knowledge and expertise. This application is open to all Academy members (you must be a member of the Academy to be appointed to a subcommittee).
The Council on Research strategic plan includes members collaborating across disciplines with international food and nutrition communities supporting work specific to diversity and inclusion. Efforts are being made to ensure that subcommittees include members that are ethnically, culturally, geographically and professionally diverse.
