Ainsley Malone is a nutrition support dietitian at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, involved in the management of patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition; and a clinical practice specialist with the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, involved in managing the organization’s clinical practice activities. Within the Academy, Ainsley has served as a director of the House of Delegates; chair of the Academy’s Positions and Evidence-Based Practice committees; and chair of the Critical Illness Evidence Analysis Workgroup. She has also served in multiple leadership positions, including chair, in the Dietitians in Nutrition Support dietetic practice group. She received the Academy’s 2015 Medallion Award for outstanding service to the Academy and the profession. Ainsley is a certified nutrition support clinician and is the co-editor of three Academy pocket guides: Enteral Nutrition, Parenteral Nutrition and Nutrition Assessment. She has given international, national and local presentations on multiple nutrition support related topics and is well-known as a leader in malnutrition related activities both nationally and globally. Ainsley is a past chair of ASPEN’s Malnutrition Committee; was ASPEN’s president in 2013-2014; and was ASPEN’s representative to the Academy’s Malnutrition Workgroup. Ainsley is a graduate of Miami University (Ohio) and earned a master’s degree from Finch University/Chicago Medical School (now Rosalind Franklin University).
