Description

“Kids these days” is a phrase every generation uses to describe the next. As Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials lead, teach, and practice, they increasingly collaborate with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students, clients, and patients, shaping the future of education, healthcare, and professional practice. Understanding these generations’ digital fluency, visual learning preferences, and inclusive values is essential to creating authentic, effective connections and improving outcomes. This session will examine how Gen Z and Alpha’s focus on authenticity, rapid decision-making, and well-being shape their communication, learning, and engagement styles. Presenters will highlight evidence-based and real-world strategies to help educators and practitioners foster resilience, adaptability, and motivation in these younger generations across academic, health, and life settings. Participants will explore how to design interactive, relevant, and personalized experiences that promote self-awareness, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, preparing Gen Z and Alpha for success in dynamic environments. Through discussion and application, attendees will gain practical tools to enhance intergenerational understanding, build supportive learning and care environments, and strengthen collaboration that promotes lifelong growth, health, and wellbeing.
