Recruitment and Retention Resources

The assets of an Academy membership are numerous and most dietetics professionals choose to belong to the Academy because of the variety and quality of membership benefits. As professionals, we are stronger when we stand together. However, attracting and keeping members is every organization's challenge. The Academy addresses this by developing new and targeted recruitment and retention campaigns annually. In addition to these national efforts, the Academy's organizational units (affiliates, Dietetic Practice Groups and Member Interest Groups) play an integral role in growing their own membership, as well as that of Academy, through successful member and non-member outreach.

To complement national level efforts, the Academy encourages organizational units to utilize these resources when developing and implementing recruitment and retention efforts on their grassroots level. To this end, the Academy has developed the following resources for membership recruitment and retention.
