Competency Software for Program Directors


Program directors are assigned to their ACEND-accredited programs under a Program Director role. Within Competency, Program Directors can create, edit and manage program schedules, users and assessment data, as well as create reports for checklists, rubrics, and supervised hours.

Review the basic details of your program and add program information such as address and phone number.

Create or edit courses that will make up the dropdown menus used throughout the system to assign checklists, rubrics or imported grade results.

Create or edit cohort details such as title and description.

Set up academic years (phases) with semesters or smaller time periods that make up the program (blocks) with details such as title, description, and start and end dates.

Create or edit specialties for rotations such as clinical, community or food service management.

Add Users
Create users and assign roles such as preceptor, faculty (within the preceptor role), and student.

Add program specific competency domains. Domains are a way to group competencies.

Create assessment questions that are mapped to ACEND competencies, performance indicators (for GPs), populations and diverse cultures, and/or disease states or conditions, and GP Skills (if applicable).
