Description : Despite overwhelming clinical and epidemiologic evidence supporting the replacement of saturated fat with oils high in polyunsaturated fat (linoleic acid), the consumption of seed (vegetable) oils has become extremely controversial in the public arena. This session will explore common questions and concerns about seed oils and provide practical guidance for patient and client communication. Through real-world scenarios, dietitians will gain strategies for addressing questions about seed oils with evidence-based recommendations. Attendees will leave with guidance on how best to interact with patients and clients who may be fearful of consuming seed oils.
