    Elizabeth Ehorn

    Dietitian & Sr. Director of Food & Nutrition Services, Lurie Children's Hospital

    Elizabeth Ehorn, DHSc, RDN-AP, LDN, CNSC, FAND is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist who currently works as the Director of Food & Nutrition Services at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. In addition to her main role, she serves as an adjunct professor, educating graduate students on subjects such as medical nutrition therapy, pediatric nutrition, and evidence-based practice lifestyle medicine. Prior to her work in nutrition management, she served as a Pediatric Clinical Dietitian in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has conducted graduate & post-graduate research in a variety of areas pertaining to both pediatric and adult nutrition. Her current research focus lies in the areas of nutrition advocacy, senior-level management practices/strategies, and competency assessment of RDNs as clinicians. Dr. Ehorn strongly believes in the importance of continuing education for all nutrition professionals and is actively involved in a number of boards and committees which support various dietetic internship programs and educational initiatives. She also serves in a role with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), which involves training RDNs on Nutrition Focused Physical Examination (NFPE) for both adult and pediatric patients.
