Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Presents 2023 Medallion Awards to Eight Members for Service to Academy, Profession

CHICAGO – The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will honor eight registered dietitian nutritionists with the Academy’s prestigious 2023 Medallion Awards in recognition of outstanding service and leadership in the Academy and the nutrition and dietetics profession. Medallion Awards have honored Academy members each year since 1976.

The 2023 Medallion Award recipients are:

• Patricia Becker, MS, RDN, CSP, FAND
  Becker is a pediatric neonatal nutrition specialist and the owner of  KidsRD.com in Cincinnati, Ohio.
• Susan L. Brantley, MS, RD, LDN, FAND
  Brantley is the retired nutrition support dietitian and metabolic support coordinator at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
• Kathrin A. Eliot, PhD, RDN, LD, FAND
  Eliot is an associate professor in the department of nutritional sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
• Donna S. Martin, EdS, RDN, LD, SNS, FAND
  Martin is a consultant and the retired director of the Burke County, Ga., school nutrition program.
• Marsha K. Schofield, MS, RD, LD, FAND
  Schofield is the owner of Marsha Schofield and Associates in Stow, Ohio.
• Elise A. Smith, MA, RDN, LD, FAND
  Smith is a board member and the owner of the NS Group in Ridgeland, Miss.
• Jean Storlie, MS, RD
  Storlie is the president and owner of Storlietelling in Minneapolis, Minn.
• Christine K. Weithman, MBA, RD, LDN, FAND
  Weithman is the retired director of nutrition services at HMR Plan in Natick, Mass.
