Research Priorities 2020-2025

The Academy research priorities are a resource for both internal and external stakeholders and have applications for various areas of practice including education, clinical and community practice, management, and of course research and collaboration.

To assess emergent research needs and identify research priorities that, if addressed, would have the greatest impact on knowledge advancement and empowerment of nutrition and dietetics practitioners, students, interns and retired members, the Academy's Research Priorities Task Force used a 9-step process to develop priorities that fall under four main themes: Nutrition-related Discovery, Clinical Nutrition Research, Implementation Science and Public Health. Influencing each of the themes is an overarching acknowledgment of the role that all priorities can play in informing nutrition and dietetics education, practice and policy.
