Nutrition advice is everywhere, but credible, personalized guidance can be hard to find.
During an August 12 webinar, the Academy and MATTER, a global healthcare startup incubator, discussed how to evaluate nutrition information, understand the opportunities and limitations of AI and recognize when care from an RDN is essential.
Building on the Academy's A Seat at Every Table campaign, panelists explored how credentialed nutrition and dietetics professionals cut through misinformation with science-based, practical guidance. The conversation covered how to identify trustworthy nutrition information, including the importance of evidence, credentials and individual context.
The webinar also highlighted the Academy's Nutrition Fact Check initiative and other public education efforts, and concluded with an introduction to the Future of Food and Nutrition AI Challenge, a new innovation pitch competition with MATTER taking place at FNCE® 2026.
