RDN Care's Role in Patient Outcomes Focus of Academy Input Submitted to HHS

10/26/2021 - In comments submitted to the Department of Health and Human Services in its request for information collection to be used in its upcoming survey, the Academy focused on translating RDN care to patient outcomes to health center performance to agency performance. Since many health center patients have substantial risk of diet-related chronic diseases, the survey would benefit from design elements to better define respondents' understanding of the potential of medical nutrition therapy to effectively treat these conditions, and thus reduce costs and improve patient outcomes, and thus contribute to agency performance.
