CDC Proposes Revisions to Diabetes Prevention Program

09/03/2020 - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is proposing to modify the standards and data collection requirements for CDC-recognized Diabetes Prevention Programs. In comments to CDC, the Academy expressed general support for the proposed changes, including the new optional reporting of hemoglobin A1c from program participants. The Academy also raised concerns about the high and increasing data collection burden and made suggestions to CDC on ways to reduce this burden, which would particularly benefit small programs.
