Update on 2021 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo™

Thursday, January 14, 2021

To Our Fellow Academy Members:

As you all know, health and safety concerns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible for the Academy to hold an in-person 2020 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo. Instead, we held a virtual FNCE® event that was an incredible success, with more than 13,500 attendees representing 56 countries and 8 territories.

While we had hoped and planned for an in-person FNCE® in 2021, ensuring everyone's health and welfare continues to be the primary consideration in determining whether such a meeting is feasible. Even with COVID vaccinations beginning, government health authorities do not anticipate we will reach the levels of immunity needed to safely hold FNCE® in October.

For these reasons, the Board of Directors has determined that FNCE® 2021 also will be held as a virtual event on the originally scheduled dates — October 16 to 19.

The Academy is committed to returning to an in-person FNCE® as soon as it is safe and advisable, and to gathering in-person in Orlando, Fla., in 2022. With the success of last year’s meeting, we are committed to a hybrid FNCE® in the future — with both online and in-person programming, so even more members can participate.

For the FNCE® 2021 virtual event, you can look forward to all the innovative experiences of this past year … and then some. Registration for the FNCE® 2021 virtual event will open July 14. There will be multiple registration and cost savings opportunities, meaning the earlier you register, the more you will save. Much more information will be coming your way soon. Visit eatrightFNCE.org beginning in March for full details, and the FNCE® 2021 Virtual Event FAQs provides more info until then. If you have questions, please email fnce@eatright.org.

Thank you again for all you do to protect the public's health — now more than ever. Our admiration and respect for Academy members grows by the day.

Yours in health and safety,
