Bylaws and Policies

Policies of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics cover a variety of topics related to the operation of the Academy and are determined by the Board of Directors. (Note: Use this Academy Acronyms list for terms that may be referenced in these policies.) These policies, which are outlined in the Academy Policy and Procedure Manual, cover a variety of topics related to the operation of the Academy and its organizational units and are determined by the Board of Directors. The master copy of this manual is retained by the Executive Office at Headquarters. All policies apply to any organization activity within the Academy.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Bylaws are rules adopted by the organization for governing meetings and association affairs. They define the relationship, the rights and the obligations for members, directors, officers and staff. Bylaws should be a living document, to be used, reviewed and revised as necessary. The bylaws were last amended March 9, 2023.
