Nutrition Research Network Projects

The Nutrition Research Network (formerly the Dietetics Practice Based Research Network) has been involved in collaboratively planning and executing the following projects:

  • Diabetes Certificate of Training and Impact on RDN Practice (2017-2019)
    The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Diabetes Care and Education DPG are collaborating on a research project to determine if a diabetes certificate of training program impacts the practice of RDNs who counsel patients with diabetes.
  • Food and Nutrition Security Member Survey Webinar (2016)
    In collaboration with the Committee for Public Health and Community Nutrition, the Nutrition Research Network conducted a survey of Academy members' activities and skills related to food and nutrition security. This webinar describes the survey results, identifies trends in the data, and explores possible next steps for Academy leadership, partners, and individual practitioners. The recorded presentation is available on the Committee for Public Health and Community Nutrition page and has been approved for 1.0 CPEU.
  • Prevention of Diabetes Guideline Usage and Impact on Care (2014-2016)
    • Do Evidence-Based Guidelines Make a Different in Practice? Webinar
      This webinar will share preliminary results from the Prevention of Diabetes Guideline Usage and Impact on Care Study. This project was a Collaboration between Research, International, and Scientific Affairs team and Diabetes Care and Education DPG of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The presentation has been approved for 1.0 CPEU.
