Preventive Health Savings Act Introduced in the Senate

12/12/2017 - The Preventive Health Savings Act (S. 2164), which would allow policymakers to more accurately analyze cost savings from legislation that would prevent chronic disease, was recently introduced into the Senate. An identical bill, H.R. 2953, was introduced into the House on June 20.

The Academy has supported this bill in past congressional sections, as it is critical to gaining support for legislation that would improve access to nutrition services provided by Academy members.
