New Resource Materials for Child and Adult Care Food Program Updated Meal Pattern

05/04/2017 - Team Nutrition released materials aimed at helping transition to an updated Child and Adult Care Food Program meal pattern that more closely aligns more closely with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

The materials were released in conjunction with the CACFP to equip CACFP providers and operators with the "knowledge, skills, and expertise to implement the updated CACFP meal pattern requirements that are effective starting October 1, 2017."

The CACFP serves more than 4.2 million children and 130,000 adults nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of the child and adult day care they receive.

The Academy helped shape these rules.
