Farm Bill and Appropriation Votes Expected During Next Two Weeks

12/05/2018 - Leaders from a House-Senate conference committee have reached an agreement but have not released details of a new farm bill that is believed to be similar to the Senate's earlier version. Votes on the farm bill and pending appropriation likely will be delayed temporarily, following the death of former President George H.W. Bush.

A short-term appropriations measure reportedly is being considered to fund several agencies, including the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration, and to avoid a government shutdown if the current continuing resolution expires on December 7.
