Congressional Resolution to Celebrate Academy's Centennial Introduced

04/12/2017 - A congressional resolution celebrating the Academy's Centennial was introduced March 1 in both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives. Each of the resolution's original sponsors is from Ohio, where the Academy was founded in 1917.

Sen. Rob Portman introduced the Senate resolution, which is cosponsored by Sens. Sherrod Brown and Bill Cassidy. Rep. Marcia Fudge introduced the House resolution, which is cosponsored by Reps. Pat Tiberi, Diana DeGette, Jim McGovern and Tim Ryan.

Academy members are encouraged to take action and ask your Congressional leaders to sign on to this resolution. The Academy has a wealth of interesting background information on our Centennial that may be helpful in gaining their support.
