Agencies Collaborate and Agree to Reduce Food Waste

10/25/2018 - Agency leaders from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration signed a joint agreement as part of the Trump Administration's Winning on Reducing Food Waste initiative to improve efforts to educate and assist Americans with reducing food loss and waste.

Academy representatives spoke in a panel discussion hosted by USDA, highlighting projects such as the Foundation's Future of Food Initiative; the focus on food loss and waste during the 2018 National Nutrition Month; and ongoing hunger and food insecurity advocacy efforts.
