Academy Urges Focus on Nutrition to Prevent Chronic Diseases

06/12/2018 - The Academy submitted recommendations to the Aspen Health Strategy Group for its next Big Idea, urging expanding access to evidence-based nutrition services provided by qualified professionals, such as nutrition and dietetic technicians, registered, is vital to preventing chronic disease in the United States.

Each year, the strategy group, part of the Aspen Institute, tasks 24 senior leaders across health, business, media and technology sectors with studying and making recommendations on a complex health issue to promote improvements in policy and practice. This year's topic is the prevention of chronic diseases.
