New Report: The State of the World's Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture

02/27/2019 - The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, under the guidance of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, has released a new report containing evidence that the global biodiversity that underpins food systems is disappearing – threatening the future of food, livelihoods, health and the environment.

The report, titled The State of the World's Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture, warns that once the biodiversity of food and agriculture is lost, it cannot be recovered.

This report is based on information provided specifically for this study by 91 countries, and the analysis of the latest global data.
