New Report on State-Impact of Public Health Funding

04/26/2017 - Academy partner Trust for America's Health released a new report, A Funding Crisis for Public Health and Safety: State-by-State Public Health Funding and Key Health Facts, 2017, finding that core funding for disease prevention and health promotion programs has declined by around $580 million federally and has remained flat in states since 2010 (adjusting for inflation).

The Academy continues to advocate for the importance of investing in public health, and we encourage members to use this report as a great tool for advocacy and understanding of state and local initiatives.
