CHICAGO – The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics will celebrate 100 years of improving the nation's health through research, education and advocacy October 21 to 24 at the 2017 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo in Chicago, Ill.

FNCE® will bring more than 10,000 food, nutrition and health care professionals from around the world to McCormick Place West for four days of learning and networking.

"Food and nutrition play an integral role in everyone's lives," said registered dietitian nutritionist and Academy President Donna Martin. "As the Academy celebrates our Centennial in 2017, we look with pride on the role of our profession during the past century and we look confidently toward addressing the challenges of the future."

  • Saturday, October 21 (4 p.m. - 6 p.m.): Opening Session, Room 375 BCDE
    Keynote speaker Sanjay Gupta, MD, a practicing neurosurgeon and CNN's chief medical correspondent, will deliver the keynote address, "How Media Influences Healthcare Today."
  • Saturday, October 21 (6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.): Centennial Celebration, Opening Concourse
    The Academy's Centennial Celebration will feature cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres at the McCormick Place West Opening Concourse. The event is open to all full-week FNCE® attendees, Sunday only registrants and exhibitors.
  • Monday, October 23 (10 a.m. – noon): Member Showcase, Room 375 BCDE

    Keynote speaker Michio Kaku, PhD, a theoretical physicist, best-selling author, and popularizer of science, will speak on "The Future of the Mind."
