Nominations Open

The Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for visionary and dedicated individuals for the following 2023 national ballot positions. Nominations for the positions of president-elect, speaker-elect and treasurer-elect close September 2, 2022. Nominations for all other positions are due by October 24, 2022.

All positions are three-year terms, unless noted below.

  • President-elect (one position)
  • Treasurer-elect (one position)
  • Director-at-Large (one position)
  • House of Delegates Speaker-elect (one position)

House of Delegates

  • At-Large Delegate: Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) (one position)

Nominating Committee

  • National Leader (two positions)
  • Leader with Board of Directors Experience in the Past 10 Years (one position)

Commission on Dietetic Registration

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) (three positions)
  • CDR Advanced Practitioner in Clinical Nutrition Representative (RDN-AP) (one position)

Nominations and Election Processes

The process of selecting candidates is detailed and deliberate, from reaching out to solicit nominees, fine tuning nomination forms, crafting interview questions and making final selections from a pool of very qualified individuals. At every step the Nominating Committee emphasizes the critical importance of inclusion, diversity, equity and access in choosing leaders for the Academy. We are humbled by the trust placed on the committee by those who have elected us. The Nominating Committee has a moral accountability to ensure access to leadership by identifying equitable pathways for individuals to serve.
