Marcy Kyle

Kyle is Maine Health's Regional Director of Nutrition and Diabetes Services at Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital, and the nutrition specialist for the Pen Bay and Rockland Area YMCA. She coordinates the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Pen Bay Diabetes Prevention Program and the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program. Under Kyle's leadership, the Pen Bay diabetes prevention programs have achieved full recognition for the past four years.

She is a volunteer member of the Diabetes Action Alliance of Maine, and a past member and chair of the Maine Diabetes Control Project Advisory Committee. Kyle was Speaker of the Academy's House of Delegates in 2018-2019.

She also has served on the House Leadership Team, the Academy's Board of Directors, the Nutrition Services Payment Committee, the Evidence-Based Practice Committee, and was vice-chair of the Council on Future Practice. Kyle co-authored the Academy's "Visioning Report 2017: A Preferred Path Forward for the Nutrition and Dietetics Profession."

Committed to helping guide public policy on nutrition, she is a past member of the Academy's Legislative Public Policy Committee; served as a State Policy Representative; is a member of the Public Policy Panel of the Maine Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; and meets with national and state legislators as well as with top agency officials.

Kyle is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
