Cecilia Fileti

Fileti is the president of C.P. Fileti Associates Inc., a health communications and regulatory response firm serving the food, nutrition and health care sectors. Previously, Fileti directed the national Latino Integrative Nutrition Initiative and was the former nutrition division director for leading hospital systems in the East and Midwest. Fileti has served in numerous Academy national leadership roles, including member of the Board of Directors; the first bilingual media Spokesperson; and a member of the House Leadership Team. She has served on Academy committees including Finance Advisory, Member Value, Legislative and Public Policy and Honors; and as chair of the Academy's Practice Paper, Health Care Reform and Member Classifications task forces.

She is the founding head of the Academy's Latinos and Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition member interest group and has held leadership positions in several DPGs including Dietitians in Business and Communications, Dietitians in Clinical Management and Food and Culinary Professionals. Fileti was a co-founder of the Dietitians in Nutrition Support DPG and the Dietitians Affairs Committee of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. A past president of the Academy's Michigan state affiliate, Fileti serves on the advisory boards of the IHA WJF Institute for Lifestyle Medicine and Eastern Michigan University's College of Health and Human Services. She is a member of the boards of United Way of Washtenaw County, Mich.; the Halftime Institute leadership enterprise; and Les Dames D'Escoffier of Los Angeles/Orange County, with a previous national appointment to the organization’s Global Culinary Initiative.

Fileti received the Academy's 2000 Medallion Award for her service to the nutrition and dietetics profession. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University.
