Cecilia Fileti

Fileti is the president of C.P. Fileti Associates Inc., a food and health communications and regulatory response firm. Previously, she was a project director for the Latino Integrative Nutrition Initiative, and a nutrition division director for leading hospital systems in the East and Midwest. Fileti has served in numerous Academy national leadership roles, including member of the Board of Directors, a media Spokesperson and a member of the House Leadership Team. She has served on Academy committees including Member Value, Legislative and Public Policy, and Honors; and on the Health Care Reform and Member Classifications task forces.

She is the founding head of the Academy's Latinos and Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition member interest group, and has held leadership positions in several Academy dietetic practice groups, including Dietitians in Business and Communications, Dietitians in Clinical Management and Food and Culinary Professionals. She was a co-founder of the Dietitians in Nutrition Support DPG. A past-president of the Academy's Michigan state affiliate, Fileti serves on the advisory board of Eastern Michigan University's College of Health and Human Services. She is a member of the boards of United Way of Washtenaw County, MI, and Le Dames D'Escoffier of Los Angeles/Orange County, and a member of Le Dames D'Escoffier's national Global Culinary Initiative Committee.

Fileti received the Academy's 2000 Medallion Award for her service to the nutrition and dietetics profession. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and a master's degree in food and nutrition from Eastern Michigan University.
