Online Leadership Certificate of Training - Level 2

The Center of Professional Development, with experts in the field of leadership, introduces a new online certificate program with a focus on enhancing leadership skills for all Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members. In order to receive the final Certificate of Training, members must successfully complete all four modules, including the post test in Module 4 at a level of 80% or better. Module 1 - Emotional Intelligence: The Chemistry of Leadership

This program will focus on the important aspects of emotional intelligence in order for the participant to obtain a clear picture of the systems involved in effective leadership and how he or she can master each system for goal achievement. This module will advance your understanding of emotional intelligence by understanding the nuances of how this construct positively impacts leaders and their development.

Module 2 - Exceptional Leadership - Initiating and Managing Change through Skill Development

This module will explore the dynamic relationship between leadership, coaching and mentoring. Through a series of exercises, participants will identify how effective leaders provide varied means of mentoring and coaching to others, including employees, colleagues, and even supervisors at times. The participant will learn how mentoring and coaching enhance and inform one's leadership style.

Module 3 - Blurred Lines, Clear Head: Ethics and Leadership

Module 4 - Crucial Conversation Success

This module will provide participants with the tools they need to succeed during crucial conversations. With a focus on what to say and what not say, this module will advance participant skills in knowing how to respond appropriately, even when others are being inappropriate. Participants will be able to better negotiate and manage challenging conversations with opportunities for self-evaluation and templates for success.
