Diversity Mentoring Toolkit

To increase diversity in educational programs, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics developed the Building Our Future Mentor Program Toolkit to assist in mentoring students interested in dietetics careers. The toolkit can be used to raise awareness of dietetics careers and increase the pool of potential students at the K-8 and high school levels, as well as attract students from diverse cultures who have not yet declared a major to consider the dietetics education programs offered at their college or university.

The toolkit was developed to provide models for mentoring African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander, and American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Hawaiian Native students.
